To make this quick naan recipe you need only a handful of ingredients. Some you will have in your kitchen pantry and refrigerator.

Note that the full ingredients list, including measurements, can be found in the recipe card below.

Ensure you have the following ingredients ready:

  • All-purpose flour: This is the main ingredient for this recipe. You can use plain flour or wheat flour but you can also use whole wheat flour. All-purpose flour gives you an elastic and pliable dough.
  • Greek Yogurt: In this recipe, I use 0% Greek yogurt but you can also use regular Greek yogurt or if you want a vegan naan, you can add plant-based yogurt which is dairy-free and vegan.
  • Baking powder: This ingredient helps to quick naan to puff up
  • Salt: This adds flavor to the naan bread.

Garnish

As garnish you need the following ingredients:

  • Butter: Melt the butter and combine it with garlic before you brush it on the naan.
  • Garlic: Mince the garlic before combining it with melted butter so you can brush it on.
  • Parsley: Chop the parsley and add to the melted butter mix to add some color.

How To Make Quick Naan

  1. Take a large bowl and first mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Then add the yogurt and mix this through the flour with a wooden spoon. You can also mix all the ingredients using a kitchen machine.
  2. Then knead the ingredients in the bowl until the dough comes together in a fairly sticky ball. If the dough is too sticky add a little more flour, about 1 tablespoon.
