Chocolate Caramel Turtle Apples

These festive and delicious Chocolate Turtle Apples are one of the best treats you can make for Halloween. Also, this recipe is very easy to make, and kids will love the project as well.

It is a great alternative sweet snack, and it can be stored for days to come. I made them with my son, and he had so much fun decorating them!

This dessert can be made with different types of apples. However, I prefer to use Granny Smith or Fuji as they hold up the texture nicely. In addition, they do not end up being mushy at all.

I love that they have the right balance, and are not overly sweet. Also, you can decorate them pretty much as you want. They are the perfect treat for Halloween or even Thanksgiving. Give them a try, and you will see why kids and adults love them so much!

Absolutely! This is one of those treats that can easily be made ahead. It stores well and can be enjoyed for days to come. Simply, store them in the fridge for up to 5 days. Tools used:

  • Sharp knife – You want to go with a good-quality and sharp knife to slice them nicely
  • Caramel– I like using the Kraft brand, as is affordable and works great here
  • Popsicle sticks – These are great, and they come in a bunch of 400, so you have plenty to play with!

Recipe Tips:

  • I love slicing the fruits when making this recipe. However, you could also go with whole apples.
  • Also, feel free to use other fruits and follow the same steps described in the recipe card below. For example, pears, quince.
  • If you like darker chocolate, then feel free to substitute it with a semi-sweet version.
